Scanning and Analysis of web pages is handled by powerful servers located at our Network Operation Center (NOC) in downtown Kansas City, MO. Only pages that are cleared as acceptable will be delivered to the workstations.

The combination of industrial strength server hardware and extraordinarily high-speed bandwidth capability ensures that your web browsing experience will remain smooth and responsive while the page content is dynamically filtered.
How does it work? With a simple configuration change to the client PCs, all web page requests from the PCs are redirected so that the data is passed through our filtering systems to check for undesirable items.
Our servers are running the proven Guardian internet abuse management software from SmoothWall, Ltd. The Guardian program employs rapid Dynamic Content Analysis technology to examine each web page and block any that match the user’s specifications as objectionable.
Customers can select from a wide range of predefined security profiles in order to find the combination of categories that meet their specific web protection needs.
When users connect to the web from a machine that has been configured for the remote proxy service, they are presented with a login screen to enter a user name and password. Content filtering rules will then be applied based on the settings that have been defined for this account. If the login information is incorrect, all access to the web will be blocked.
Subscriptions to the ICE System’s Remote Proxy Service are licensed per protected workstation and can be purchased on a quarterly or annual basis.
